Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Guthega & Blue Cow, with Charlotte Pass only a day trip away.
There is no ski resort in Australia that compares to the sheer size of Perisher and it’s understandable why Perisher is part of Vail Resorts. Perisher is a collection of four mountains combined as one in the Snowy Mountains and the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere: four times greater than any other. Perisher Ski Resort includes Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Guthega and Blue Cow. A day trip to Charlotte Pass on an oversnow transfer is great fun for the whole family and if you are staying 7+ nights this is certainly recommended to experience a resort nearby to Perisher. The days are spent skiing and snowboarding to your heart’s content followed by dinners at your ski lodge or hotel – breakfast and dinner is included in most packages, with a true lodge experience having a red wine by the fire and sharing your ski highlights with other travellers.
Accommodation and ski lodge options are wide and varied throughout Perisher Valley. You can choose to stay ‘on snow’ or ‘ski in ski out’ at Perisher or Smiggins, these small villages are connected by a free shuttle bus, or you could ski between the two when the lifts are turning. Beginner ski & snowboard lessons can be taken at both destinations however for intermediate to advanced levels, lessons are conducted at Perisher Valley or Blue Cow. There is accommodation ‘off snow’ in Jindabyne or Wilson’s Valley although there is no experience like stepping out your front door and being on the snow and a short walk to the ski lifts every morning.
Be sure to ask the Snowscene team about the Epic Passes and how we can offer you unlimited skiing and snowboarding in Perisher on the North American Epic Pass, and plan your next trip to Whistler or Vail connecting all your holidays on the one ski pass.
