Park City Mountain is the largest single ski and snowboard resort in the United States, two villages and one world-class mountain offering access to 3000 hectares of skiable terrain. The longest run sits at 4.5km, a fantastic thigh-burner for every ability skier & snowboarder.  

Park City Utah is most famous for hosting many events during the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. What we love most about Park City is that many of the original buildings are converted into restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and art galleries. It is one of the most charming and vibrant ski towns in the USA and also the host of the annual Sundance Film Festival.  Our inside tip – the slopes are quiet during the festival so it’s an ideal time for a ski holiday to Utah. 

From downtown Salt Lake City you can be at your ski lodging within 30 minutes, staying either in Old Town Park City or Canyons Village, both of which are only 8 minutes apart by shuttle or car or simply connected via a gondola. This gondola is the key link between this massive ski area, providing speedy and reliable access to either resort. 

Park City’s local history has to be felt to be understood, an authentic historical western mining town with the world’s only ski in ski out whiskey distillery. A great way to learn about how Park City evolved from a silver mining camp to an internationally recognised ski resort is to take the ‘Silver to Slopes Historical Guided Ski Tours’ or ‘Walking Wine Tours’ in the evenings. 

To make your ski trip truly unforgettable, be sure to holiday during the Snowfest Celebration. A 16 day festival including après, music, village entertainers, torchlight parade, fireworks and even Santa Claus.

There are also private apartments and spacious condos in the main street or downtown to suit an array of budgets.  

Canyons Accommodation

Located 5kms from downtown Park City, Canyons offers a family style village with world class slope side accommodation offering easy access to lifts, ski school and other guest services.  Being compact in size, and walking distance to ski school, creche and the heated orange bubble lift, this base is particularly popular for young families and those sourcing ski in ski out accommodation.
