SilverStar Mountain Resort – An Uncrowded Powder Paradise

British Columbia is the home to 13 major ski resorts and part of the British Columbia’s Monashee mountain range is Silverstar Resort, a mountain resort like no other.

Silverstar is a big mountain, only 1 hour from Kelowna Airport with a small unique town feel with Ski in Ski out access to the slopes.

The mid mountain village is indeed a colourful one, and some days it is like Disney in the snow. The village is home to around 20 restaurants, a variety of shops and the famous horse drawn sleigh which departs most evenings from the centre of the village for a truly unique Canadian mountain dining experience.

Silverstar’s progressive terrain is ideal for beginners, those learning to carve and looking to upskill their skiing and snowboarding. With 40% of the mountain suitable for low to high level intermediates and 40% advanced there is a range of terrain to suit varied abilities. Although it feels like Christmas in the snow most days in the season, Silverstar celebrate Christmas in style with 12 days of holiday festivities from mid-December to New Year’s Eve. Christmas feasts, meeting Santa and his elves, snow cat dinners and craft markets are all part of the festivities topped off by a spectacular fireworks display.
