Mominoki Hotel Hakuba

Hakuba Mominoki Hotel offers Western & Japanese resort style accommodation at the base of the Happo One ski slopes in the Wadano area.

The hotel boasts a unique natural hot spring with one of the highest concentration of alkaline in Japan. The onsen with an outside bath is named “Shobei no Yu” and is also known by the name “Beauty Bath” as it is highly valued for its mineral properties and claims to make your skin smooth and silky.

Apart from 75 rooms, including Suites and Western-Japanese Style Rooms, this resort style hotel also features a visitor centre, shop, internet corner and multiple bars and restaurants.  And last but not least, The Mominoki Hotel also provides guests with a heliport, offering pick-up by helicopter at Haneda Airport.

Accommodation Details

Standard Room:  2 guests (bath and toilet)

Japanese Room:  2 – 4 guests can stay in the tatami Japanese style room. Popular with families and elderly guests. Bath is not provided in these rooms, so please use the onsen with water from Happo Hot Springs. This room type features a verandah facing the forest. Toilet and sink provided (no bathtub).

Family Room:  3 – 4 guests (bath and toilet)

Premium Room:  A little bit of luxury for the two of you. You can enjoy the whole view of Wadano forest from your window.  2 persons (bath, toilet, extra bed not provided).

Deluxe Room:  Soothing and spacious room for two people.  2 persons (bath, toilet, extra bed not provided).

Japanese and Western Style Room:  This is a spacious and relaxing room with both Western and Japanese space. The room is spacious enough for two families or a group of friends and is also called Wa-Yo Room. Wa means Japanese, and Yo means Western.  Wa-Yo room has 2 beds (110 cm wide beds) and Tatami area that sleeps 2+.  2 – 6 guests (bath and toilet).

Mountain Suite:  The Mountain Suite is a very special room on the highest floor.  You can see Japanese larch trees from the windows and it a very peaceful choice.  8 guests (bath and toilet).

Log Cabin:  The Log Cabin is located in the beautiful forest on the hotel premises.  One bedroom upstairs with 4 single beds.  Can be pushed together and made up as  2 doubles.  Kitchen, shower, toilet.

Dining

The main Mominoki Hotel restaurant “Shara” provides guests with an extensive buffet featuring ingredients sourced locally in the Nagano region. The hotel’s open kitchen provides ‘Teppanyaki’ dishes prepared right in front of you.  In the recent years the hotel has been featured in the Tokyo TV program, “The Dawn of Galliard” and has been acclaimed both locally and internationally, including awards from Luxury Travel Guide.

The other two restaurants/bars within the hotel include the “Mansaku Sukiyaki & Shabu Shabu” Japanese restaurant, and the “Fireside Lounge & Wine Bar“offering a range of international wines and Japanese whiskeys as well as a selection of appetisers and late night snacks. The lounge has a large fireplace with comfortable sofas.
