The famous Remarkables mountain range is home to The Remarkables ski field, around 40 minute drive from downtown Queenstown. A true alpine mountain experience, The Remarkables offers terrain and facilities to suit everyone from first timers to seasoned, expert skiers and snowboarders. For freestylers the terrain parks are worthy of mention with lots of choice for the shredders amongst your group.

The “Remarks” 385 hectares of skiable terrain is accessed by 4 chair lifts (a fast 6 seater, 3 quad chairs) and 4 magic carpets.  And to replenish on mountain, choose from Ratusburn Coffee Bar, The Remarkables Cafe, The Remarkables Restaurant and the on-mountain Ice Bar located at the top of the Alta chairlift.

For non-skiers, a sightseeing pass ensures you don’t miss the best views in town.  Sit back and enjoy the ride up Shadow Basin chairlift with magnificent views overlooking the Southern Alps. The Shadow Basin chairlift gives you access to the lookout via a short on-snow walk. Sightseeing is available daily from 12:00pm – 2:30pm, a great way to meet up with your skiing party for lunch on the mountain.
