Fernie is known (due to its location) to have some of the best champagne powder in the world… you have to ski and board it to believe it. Although renowned for its powder and tree skiing (as the mountain is divided into seven distinct zones, the open bowls, wide open runs, tree skiing, steeper terrain are all draw cards) it does still cater for beginners with more mellow groomers.

Being 3 hours south of Calgary, Fernie is not yet discovered like some other ski resorts in British Colombia, however it still has plenty to offer those after a more relaxing snow holiday.  Each season there have been constant improvements and upgrades to ensure visitors are having the best experience possible when at Fernie Alpine Resort.

Located in the Lizard range of British Colombia, you can choose to stay in the town of Fernie or in the ski village with ski in ski out condo options available.
