Shiga Kogen ski resort is located in picturesque Jōshin’etsu-kōgen National Park in the highlands of Yamanouchi, Nagano.  It is the largest resort in Japan, (21 resorts with 19 interlinked ski areas).  Shiga has it all, including Ski in Ski out hotels throughout the entire valley providing guests with the full on snow experience with breakfast and dinner included.

Shiga offers a relaxed skiing experience, without the hustle and bustle of crowds. The mountain is also well known for its backcountry, cross country skiing and snowshoeing through pine trees laden with snow, called snow monsters.
