Newzengland Clay Shooting & Archery Services provide a range of outdoor activities for individuals and groups of friends. The location is at Terrace Downs High Country Resort on the banks of the Rakaia River Gorge in Canterbury, ideal if self-driving from Christchurch to Methven and the Mt Hutt Ski Area.
The Archery area is nestled in the tranquility of the pine forest, catering for all levels – from the complete novice to the very experienced shot.
Get the bulls-eye in your sights and then let rip with your arrow and watch it as it torpedoes towards its target. Compete with your friends and family to see who is the best shot.
As well as the Archery, we highly recommend the Clay Bird Shooting, and a Mini Olympic Challenge which combines clay bird shooting, archery and your chipping skills with a golf club, a great competition with your mates or family or for a party gathering.

I would 100% do it again! Both the archery and clay shooting was such a great experience and not something you do every day. Neil was such a good instructor and definitely the key to our success. Next time I’d like to stay longer to do the Mini Olympics.
