Furano Ski Resort previously set the opening date for the 2016-17 season at 26 November 2016. Due to the heavy snowfalls received over the last week the opening date has been reviewed and the ski area will commence operation for the season on 19 November 2016, subject to snow and weather conditions permitting. The current base depth at the top of Furano Ropeway is 25cm.
