Hotel Hakuba

Hotel Hakuba sits by the Oonaragawa River, overlooking the Northern Alps in the picturesque Hakuba Valley. Located in a quiet peaceful area this hotel represents great value for school groups. From here you have easy coach access to the individual local ski resorts, with the closest ski slopes at Happo-One, just ten minutes away.

The hotel’s La Foria Restaurant with its garden and mountain views features both Japanese and Western buffet style meals for breakfast and dinner. For a truly Japanese experience try a relaxing soak in one of Hotel Hakuba’s two natural hot spring onsens, one located indoors and one outdoors. What better way to sooth those tired muscles at the end of the day. The hotel also has a large lounge area for guests, a gift store selling souvenirs and locally produced items, ski lockers, a drying room and some Japanese style vending machines with unique offerings including ice cream. Hotel Hakuba has both Japanese and Western style accommodation available. School groups will find the Western style twin and triple share rooms with ensuite bathroom and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains the most comfortable option. Free WiFi is available for guests in the hotel’s lobby area.

You can easily explore the local area on foot and discover several restaurants and cafes nearby. For a fun and cultural day off the slopes consider a day tour that includes an easy hike to visit the Japanese Macaques (snow monkeys), as well as visiting a temple and cultural sites. You might like to try some Karaoke, maybe experience the magic of a drumming show or visit the majestic Olympic Ski Jumping Stadium built for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. The experienced Snowscene team is here to assist you in designing a unique travel itinerary to suit your group’s specific requirements.
