Resort Inn Marion Shinano is located in the small Japanese ski village of Tsugaike Kogen which is just 20 minutes from central Hakuba’s Happo-one ski resort. This property boasts easy ski-in ski-out access with the Oyanohara ski slope just 100 metres away, ensuring you spend maximum time on the slopes. At the end of the day if you want to explore the local town centre it is only a short stroll away. This grand old Japanese hotel with its distinctive pink exterior and panoramic views of the surrounding Northern Alps is known for its friendly welcoming staff and their attentive service.

The Resort Inn Marion Shinano has both Western style rooms with beds and a seating area, plus Japanese-style rooms with a tatami (woven-straw) floor and a low table, seating cushions and traditional futon bedding. All rooms have classic mountain views, an ensuite bathroom, TV and fridge. The Van Blanc in-house restaurant serves both local Japanese and Western meal options for both breakfast and dinner. Guests will appreciate the resort’s gift shop selling souvenirs and snacks as well as the vending machine with its unique Japanese food and beverage offerings. Guests can also access free WiFi from the lobby area. A highlight of this Hakuba hotel is the natural hot spring onsen bath with its beautiful mountain view of the Northern Alps mountain range.

Accommodation Details

The Resort Inn Marion Shinano has a total of 35 rooms, consisting of both Japanese and Western style rooms. The Western style rooms have twin and triple share bedding options available. The Japanese style tatami rooms with their traditional futon mat bedding are larger and can sleep up to six people.  All rooms include an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, TV, mini fridge and kettle plus tea set and Yukata bath robes.

Dining

Resort Inn Marion Shinano has an in-house restaurant Van Blanc, where they can comfortably seat up to 120 guests at one dinner sitting. Both Japanese and Western meals are available at breakfast and dinner. Guests will enjoy some local Japanese dishes made with fresh produce sourced within the Hakuba Valley region.
